Why are you proud to be a part of the CA Connect team?

It’s amazing to be a part of a team with such diverse strengths, all with the same mission and dedicated to providing the best experience for students. Every company has a set of values to guide their employee’s behaviour but this team lives the values of Real, Care and Learn every day.

Which of the CAC Values appeal to you the most and why? (Real, Care, Learn)

Care – I think anything is possible when we begin from a place of care. Being an educator especially I believe we can only impact students if we build their trust and this starts with care.

Explain if and why education has the power to change South Africa?

Yes, I believe this completely. In a country with a dark history of inequalities I believe that education is the leveler. It is the opportunity for all those who call this beautiful country home to have the ability to create a bright inclusive future.

What does the CA(SA) qualification represent to you?

It means an opportunity to be anything you want to be. Having this qualification to me is less about technical skills and more about grit, determination, problem solving and adaptability.

If you think of the word “successful,” who is the first person that comes to mind and why?

I think success is not limited. Anyone and everyone can be successful. It’s measuring yourself against yourself, day by day on a path to becoming the best version you can be.

If you could put up a saying on a banner that was displayed around the country, what would it say and why?

“Wealth is not having many belongings, but wealth is the contentment of the soul” – Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

What does the future of education look like to you?

The future of education looks exciting with increasing technological advancements and AI. I think education is going to be less structured and more focused on problem solving skills.

If you had to define the role of a “teacher”, what would it say?
